Planning To Visit The Winery? Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Allow Enough Time. Plan to spend around 30 to 60 minutes per winery to give yourself time to enjoy the tasting and the tour. For this reason, our last wine tasting of the day will begin no later than one hour prior to closing.
Designate a Driver. You may be sampling quite a few different wines (generally about a 1/2 oz per serving), you’ll want to designate a driver who will not be imbibing. Treat your driver to lunch or save a few bottles of wine for him/her to enjoy later!
Learn While You’re Having Fun. Since you are sampling wines, try ones that you haven’t tried before – you may be surprised! Compare the different styles side by side, taking notes on a tasting sheet to remember your favorites. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Most tasting room personnel are eager to chat about their wine, how it is made, and food pairings.
Don’t forget to eat before your visit! Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is not a good idea. So that we have time to share all of the wines, we do not provide food during wine tastings. Please eat before you arrive or bring a light snack such as crackers.
Groups are Welcome. If you have a large group (10 or more) planning a tour, you should call ahead to schedule your visit. This way we can be prepared. Cost and availability of wines depend on the number of people in your party.
Children. Although we may host events for the whole family from time to time, please note that children should not be present during wine tastings and wine tours. This is both for their safety and the safety of others.
